Pelvic Imbalance
Q. Are there types of pelvic misalignment?
A.
We divide it into a pelvis tilted forward, a pelvis tilted back, and a pelvis uneven left to right, and approach each differently.
📝 Detailed Answer
- Pelvis tilted forward — a figure where the buttocks look held back. It is common where there has been a habit of pushing the belly out, through pregnancy or weight gain. We work with Chuna manual therapy centred on the pelvis, the joints and the ligaments
- Pelvis tilted back — a figure where the buttocks look dropped. The axis of the body sits backwards, and in marked cases the legs are bowed. Along with pelvic correction we also correct the feet and legs, to move the centre of the body forward
- Pelvis uneven left to right — tilted to one side. We approach it with meridian-muscle Chuna manual therapy, taking the direction of the tilt into account
Setting the pelvis alone does not last. Above the pelvis the jaw joint and spine, and below it the hip and the movement of the legs, are connected, so we look at them together.
