Jinju Dangdang Korean Medicine Clinic
Stand well,
live with confidence
Pain is an honest signal from the body. Rather than switching the signal off, we treat the postural imbalance behind it.
Where does it hurt?
Start from your symptom.

Read moreHow we read the cause
Postural imbalance arrives in three ways
- 01
Descending pattern — the jaw
When the jaw loses balance the neck vertebrae shift, the spine curves, and the change carries down to the pelvis and legs.
- 02
Ascending pattern — the foot
The foot is a second heart. When its structure gives way, gait changes and the knee, pelvis, spine and shoulder deform in turn.
- 03
Daily habits
Sleeping on one side, standing on one leg, carrying a bag on one shoulder. Slowly the spine and pelvis shift.
Dangdang Pain Navigation Assessment
The same pain has different causes in different people. We look at your gait, the force landing on your feet, muscle mass and swelling, and heat distribution, and trace where the pain came from. After treatment we check again the same way and review what changed together.
Practising in Jinju
Our director, Injun Eo, was born and raised in Jinju and has practised here since 2017. He has served in the Jinju and Gyeongsangnam-do Korean Medicine Associations, and in 2020, as COVID-19 spread, he travelled to Daegu with staff who volunteered to go. The clinic works with the Jinju Council on Social Welfare to visit people who have difficulty moving, and has taken part in the support program for couples facing infertility since 2018.

Frequently asked questions
Q. How do I tell a lumbar disc from spinal stenosis?
A. If it hurts more when you straighten or lean back and eases when you bend forward, we think of stenosis first. Having to rest because the legs go numb after walking a while is also common in stenosis. Many people have both, so we confirm by examination. Read more →
Q. Is Chuna manual therapy covered by insurance?
A. Yes. It has been covered by national health insurance since April 2019, up to 20 sessions per person per year. When inflammation and swelling are marked, we settle those first and then proceed. Read more →
Q. Why do the first steps in the morning hurt most?
A. The plantar fascia shortens overnight and is then stretched suddenly as it takes your weight. This pattern is common in plantar fasciitis, and measuring the whole gait rather than the foot alone is what shows why the same spot keeps hurting. Read more →
Q. Can I check for a jaw joint disorder at home?
A. Try placing three fingers vertically into your mouth. If they do not fit, if opening brings a click, or if the jaw travels in a Z shape, we would have it checked. This is not a diagnosis, only a clue worth following up. Read more →
Q. What if it is hard for me to get to the clinic?
A. Telephone consultations are available wherever you live. Home visits and home medical care for people with limited mobility are available within Jinju. Tell us where you live and we will explain the options. Read more →
